De Gaulle Biopic Leads New Wave of French Wartime Films

A lavish two-part cinema epic about France's best-known 20th century leader, General Charles de Gaulle, released in the UK this week, after becoming a huge box office hit in France this summer.
'De Gaulle: Resistance', the first of the two films, is about De Gaulle during World War Two and his complicated relationship with Britain's own wartime leader, Winston Churchill.
