80 year old Wearside cyclist breaks record

A veteran cyclist from Wearside has broken the record for the fastest ride between Land's End and John O'Groats by anyone aged over 80!

Eddie McGourley used to run a cycle shop in Sunderland and has been a member of Houghton Cycling Club most of his life.

We last caught up with the 83 year old ahead of his attempt to complete the one thousand mile trip in four days, along with his riding pal Stephen Foster, who is 71.

He spoke to Simon Pryde about how he felt.
