Guardians of the fallen
Sunderland mother and son, Vicki and Charlie Redmond, care for Commonwealth war graves and memorials in their community as part of the Eyes On Hands On volunteer programme. Gilly Hope met up with them at Hylton Castle Cemetery to discover what their work entails and also spoke to Sam Eccles who oversees the scheme across the North of England.
