Victory in the fight to save Edgcote Battlefield

Chair of Northamptonshire Battlefield Society Graham Evans says HS2 have kept their promise to return the site to it's original condition.

A spokesperson for HS2 Ltd said “We take our responsibility to the historic environment very seriously. We have carried out extensive specialist assessments of this land - including geophysical surveys - and found nothing of archaeological interest. All works have been undertaken in accordance with full planning and heritage requirements."
