Lullabies helping mums and babies in neonatal care

Musical performances helping babies in neonatal care thanks to University students.

Babies in neonatal care are being treated to personalised musical performances, thanks to a project with the University of Southampton. The scheme aims to improve bonds between parents and their little ones, as music students ad lib songs and melodies on the ward at the Princess Anne.

BBC Radio Solent's Rick Jackson has been speaking to Dr Balamurugan Thyagarajan, a Consultant Neonatologist at University Hospital Southampton about the project.
