The Cambridge history ‘hidden in plain sight’
A new self-guided walking tour of Cambridge is showcasing the work of F.R. Leach and Sons, a firm that played a big role in the intricate painting and carving of the city's best-loved historic buildings.
One of their employees, artist David Parr, was known for hand-painting every room in his house on Gwydir Street, which is now open as a museum
Tom Jackson found out more about their impact on the city’s facades.
