From Coventry’s car factories to Formula 1
Rob Thomas has spent his life around cars. He started out as a 16‑year‑old apprentice at Jaguar, ended up working on oil rigs in the middle of the North Sea, and somehow found his way to helping Mercedes win eight Constructors’ titles.
Rob is now the Chief Operating Officer at Mercedes-AMG Petronas. He shared with BBC CWR’s Vic Minett how it all started.
