‘Saved from the tip’: The rare rocking horse worth £2000
The 100-year old rocking horse was about to be thrown out by Samantha and Paddy Cree from Mountsorrel. First though they made a call to a local general repairer called ‘The Fix It Group’ and are thankful they did. They quickly realised the horse was collectable and needed a specialist restorer, Peter Rix from Derbyshire.
BBC Leicester’s Ady Dayman got in touch with everyone involved to find out more, starting with local repairer John Fitzgerald from The Fix It Group.
