Should Evensong be given World Heritage Status?
A music expert from Cambridgeshire is supporting a campaign for English Evensong to be given World Heritage Status.
The choral tradition of English Evensong is more than 500 years old. It is specifically English because it is Anglican church music heard during services in the early evening.
Daniel Hyde is a choral conductor and organist and is Director of Music for the Choir of Kings College Cambridge. He has been telling Jane Hill why Evensong is so special.
