'Huge' headliners unveiled for Rik Mayall festival

Co-stars Greg Davies, Helen Lederer and Shaparak Khorsandi will headline the first event in his memory, at the theatre of his hometown, where his parents were active members.

The Worcestershire comedian became famous around the globe for his on stage and on screen performances, from Blackadder to Bottom and beyond, with his legacy remaining strong in Droitwich.

The inaugural Rik Mayall Comedy Festival will take place at the end of May, with organisers Chris Broad and Stuart Panrucker unveiling the big headline acts, with a full programme still to come.
