The husband who paid a hitman to murder his wife
A jury found Allen Morgan guilty of conspiring to murder Carol Morgan in Linslade in 1981. Mrs Morgan was battered to death by an unknown killer at Morgan’s Food Fare in Finch Crescent in August of that year. Allen Morgan, 73, of Stanstead Crescent in Brighton, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years. His current wife, Margaret Morgan, was found not guilty of the same charge.
