Worcester & Hereford drivers on bright headlights
Drivers tell us they agree with a survey that suggest headlights are too bright! Tammy Gooding speaks to drivers in Worcester, Wayne Griffiths, a taxi driver in Hereford, and caller Sian who is in Kidderminster.
The RAC says overly-bright headlights are causing real problems for drivers, with nearly 9 out of 10 people questioned in a recent poll saying headlights are too bright - and a similar proportion saying the problem is getting worse, as spokesperson Rod Dennis explains.
We approached the Department for Transport for comment - they told us "we take safety on our roads extremely seriously and last year we strengthened requirements for headlamps to reduce glare, following advice from an international expert group. All headlights must adhere to strict technical standards in order for vehicles to be approved for our roads."
