Switch wheat with cassava flour: a viable option?
Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni said he's against removing import taxes to help combat the rise in food and essential commodity prices. Among the solutions suggested is switching to homegrown alternatives, like cassava flour in place of wheat. But according to Victor Otieno from management consultancy Viffa Consult, such policies would require a 'systemic change' in production chains.
