Nigerian student stranded in besieged Ukrainian city
Nigerian Jerry Kenny is one of several students who have now spent more than weeks taking refuge in an underground shelter in the Ukrainian city of Kherson.
Russian tanks and military vehicles have been seen on the streets of Kherson and the city's mayor has said that Kherson, which is in the south of the country, is under Russian control.
Jerry Kenny told Focus on Africa that they have no heating, are very cold and some of the students are sick. And he appealed for help and for all of them stuck in the shelter to be evacuated as soon as possible.
