Why South Africa won't approve the use of Sputnik V against Covid-19

The South African medical regulation authority (SAHPRA) says it won't approve the use of the Sputnik V jab against Covid-19 amid concerns that one of the ingredients may increase vulnerability to HIV infection in uncircumcised men. Dr Ameena Goga, Director of the HIV Prevention Research Unit at the South African Medical Research Council, says that the measure is precautionary and needs more data before Sputnik V is allowed in South Africa.
