Singing for Alzheimer's awareness

Simon McDermott filmed himself and his father Ted McDermott singing in the car to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. Ted who has sung throughout his life has suffered with the disease for several years now, but whilst his memory has deteriorated his love of singing has stayed as strong as ever.

Since uploading the video, the pair have raised tens of thousands of pounds for the society and Ted has even signed a record deal with his debut single coming out soon.

Simon came in and spoke to Vanessa about the journey the pair have been on, both with the disease and with singing.
