Tree Investment Felled
Investors in Costa Rican trees through a company called Ethical Forestry are waiting to find out what is happening to their money after the business was put into liquidation. The firm's glossy literature forecast returns of more than a million pounds after 24 years from an initial investment of eighteen-thousand pounds, but this looked to be in jeopardy when the company went under in January. Now the more than three-thousand people who bought into the scheme are hoping new proposals will save their valuable timber.
