Vietnam mourns death of legendary 'grandfather' turtle
Vietnam's giant turtle in Hoan Kiem Lake has died, causing an outpouring of grief.
The turtle, known locally as 'grandfather', was connected with a "legend relating to the 15th century", said Timothy McCormack, from the Asian turtle programme.
"Whenever the turtle surfaced it always created a great deal of attention" as it was "good luck to see it", he added.
