Michael Johnson: IAAF scandal worse than Fifa's
The corruption scandal plaguing athletics is worse than the one faced by football, says four-time Olympic gold medallist Michael Johnson.
Three senior IAAF officials are banned for life for alleged doping breaches, and Russia is currently banned from all athletics competitions following accusations of widespread doping.
"It may be actually worse than FIFA because again the real victims in this situation, with athletics, if you think about the victims, it is absolutely worse, because the victims here are those athletes. They never had the opportunity to stand on the podium and they should have," Michael Johnson said.
