Shilpa reflects on growing up British-Asian and the experience of finding a sense of belonging between two cultures. From the shared identity of the South Asian diaspora to the expectations passed down through generations, she explores the tensions, contradictions and unexpected joys of growing up between worlds.

With music spanning Pakistani Punjabi, British-Asian classics, Bollywood and Carnatic pop, Shilpa reflects on cultural identity, generational differences and learning that you don’t have to choose which parts of yourself belong. Sometimes, she discovers, the space in between is exactly where you belong.
