Jason Mohammad takes your calls on the WRU, teaching Welsh history in schools, and second-hand gems.

What do you think should be in the new WRU chairman’s in-tray? The Welsh Rugby Union has appointed former Newport and Pontypool player Lyndon Faulkner to the role. Faulkner will take over from Richard Collier-Keywood in November. It comes at a time when the union is facing intense criticism over its plan to cut the number of professional sides from four to three.

Which events from our past should be taught in schools? A petition stating that there needs to be "much more focus on Welsh history" in the curriculum is to receive further consideration in the Senedd. According to the petition, "currently, school pupils in Wales leave school knowing more about American and Nazi German history than about the history of their own country."

And if you’re thrifty, which second-hand gems have you come across? Furniture retailer Ikea is taking on the likes of eBay, Facebook Marketplace and Vinted with its own second-hand selling site. Last year, 63% of UK consumers bought products through reselling platforms – that’s a 51% increase compared to 2024. And 52 % had sold something online in the last 12 months.
