Mary Moore Remembers... Henry Moore

Ahead of an evening of programmes marking 40 years since the death of the great British sculptor Henry Moore, his daughter Mary looks back on her father's life, work and relationship with television and its audiences.

Mary explains how Henry felt that encouraging the public to develop an awareness and appreciation of sculpture was a vital part of his role as Britain's most internationally renowned artist, and how documentaries and TV interviews were key to that mission.

She also shares her memories of growing up in the family home in Hertfordshire, a space that is now open to the public as part of the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, and how being surrounded by great, important and hugely valuable works of art was just part of everyday life for her as a young girl.
