Three Hours of Classical Sparkle

Sarah Walker with a glittering three-hour playlist of classical music for your Sunday morning, taking us from the waterways of the world to an earthy dance by Haydn.

Sarah Walker introduces a glittering and varied Sunday mix. We'll meet an unfortunate traveller in music by Imogen Holst, dance a Gypsy Rondo with Haydn and be lulled by one of Ravel's most endearing chamber works.

And, with today being World Rivers Day, Sarah's Sunday Sequence takes us across the globe to celebrate the waterways of the world.

Also, Sarah looks back at the swashbuckling events of "Where the Light Sings" yesterday on Radio 3, paying her own homage to Britain's maritime traditions with, among other things, the epic conclusion of Vaughan Williams Sea Symphony, and a Choral Reflection in a seafaring mood...
