Phantom Strings

Kate Molleson presents a haunting, ephemeral work for strings by Martin Arnold, Trousers for violin and cello, performed by Apartment House at Cafe Oto. There's further musical shadowplay from Meredith Monk in her works Backlight and Phantom Strings, from a recent performance by Manchester Collective at the Howard Assembly Room in Leeds. And we hear Laurence Dunn's Set of Four, his "love letter" to fellow composers Bryn Harrison, Amber Priestley, Sergei Zagny and Laurence Crane, performed by Explore Ensemble; plus a selection of the latest new music releases.
