John Power from Cast picks his 'My 70s'

Cast frontman John Power grew up in Liverpool and cut his musical teeth during the decade. He's choosing three of his favourite tracks for 'My 70s'

John Power was born in Liverpool in the early 1970s, a city with a rich musical history to say the least. He joined The La's as bassist in the 1980s, enjoying success with tracks such as 'There She Goes'. In 1992, he formed Cast, becoming frontman and they went on to establish themselves as one of the true sounds of Britpop. Fast forward to now and they're one of the bands on the bill at this year's Radio 2 In The Park in Stirling.

John shares his 1970s musical influences with Shaun and reveal just a few of the tracks he loves from the decade.

Also on the show, more highlights from 'This Week In Music', another pick for Your Classic 70s Album and what's your 'Oh What A Night' 70s moment?

Drop Shaun a line on shaun@bbc.co.uk and let him know...he might choose yours!
