If organised crime groups have taken over hare coursing, what happens when people confront them? Our survey shows the terrifying scale of violence and threats across the country.

If organised crime groups have taken over hare coursing, what happens when people confront them? Our survey shows the terrifying scale of violence and threats across the country. People in the countryside say they feel abandoned. And Dan and Lucy are given a new tip about one of the dead animal events that led them into this.

Buried is the multi award-winning investigative podcast series digging into some of the most disturbing environmental stories in history. In this series, reporters Dan Ashby and Lucy Taylor follow a trail left after dozens of dead animals were left in villages in the British countryside. They team up with the wildlife presenter Chris Packham, whose own dead-animal death threats escalated into a car bomb outside his house. The dead animals lead them into uncovering a criminal underworld in the British countryside. As one witness told us: it's like Hot Fuzz meets Squid Game.
