Melvin Odoom sits in: Adrian Lester CBE is the Rewind Selector!

Adrian Lester CBE is tonight's Rewind Selector, picking the tracks that take him back to the dancefloors of his youth. Originally from Birmingham, his first experience performing was in the choir at St Chad's Cathedral, and with the Birmingham Youth Theatre. Like many other brilliant actors, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and his breakthrough came in 1996, when he won the Laurence-Olivier-Award for 'Best Actor in a Musical', for his performance in Stephen Sondheim's musical 'Company'. Since then he's undertaken a number of big stage roles, including Hamlet, Henry V and Othello. Alongside his theatre work many will know him as Mickey Bricks from 'Hustle', or for one of his countless Hollywood films, like 'Primary Colors' or 'In Day After Tomorrow'. Most recently he's appeared in TV shows 'The Sandman' and 'Ponies'. And right now, he's starring in the RSC's production of 'Cyrano de Bergerac' at the Noel Coward Theatre in London, until 5th September.
After more than 3 decades in the industry Adrian remains one of the UK's most versatile and respected actors - equally at home in a Shakespeare play, high-drama TV show or Hollywood film. We're excited to hear the tracks that take him back!
