Sofia Isella guest curates

American artist Sofia Isella presents an hour of her favourite dark music, featuring Nine Inch Nails, Tom Waits, Ethel Cain, Perfume Genius and more.

Sofia Isella is a classically trained violinist and musician who has become known for her distinct, dark form of pop music. She released her first single in 2020 and developed a following via social media. After opening for Melanie Martinez and Tom Odell she was then chosen to open for Taylor Swift, which dramatically increased her profile. She most recently released the 'Something is a Shell' EP in April.

Forever Dark is 6 Music's weekly exploration of dark music across all genres and eras. The music you hear is predominantly sonically dark but also delves into dark content and lyrics.
