Chloe Slater live from the Maida Vale studios

Ahead of this week's New Music Fix Friday, Steve welcomes the brilliant Chloe Slater to the Maida Vale studios for a live session. This is in support of her current single - ‘Ugly’. Chloe says, ‘the song centres around this almost religious compulsion we have towards consumerism. Our ads are full of commandments, ‘buy now’ and ‘don’t miss out’, and we’re promised heaven in the form of status and wealth if we follow the right path’

Chloe Slater released her debut EP You Can’t Put A Price on Fun in 2024, followed by her Love Me Please EP in 2025 and joined Steve at the Great Escape last year for a chat on Brighton Pier.

New Music Fix Friday takes place on the 10 July and sees presenters across the day celebrate the station’s favourite music that has been released so far this year.
