Tha a' fàs suas duilich gu leòr ach nuair a thèid a chur còmhla ri bràthair no piuthar nas sine a tha a’ soirbheachadh gu mòr faodaidh e tòrr teagamh agus fearg mhì-fhreagarrach adhbhrachadh. Tha an dealbh-beò seo a’ sgrùdadh mo thuras fhìn a’ tuigsinn nach eil dithis mar an ceudna ge bith dè cho cruaidh ‘s a dh’ fheuchas tu rin aithris, agus gur e neartachadh ar neartan fa leth fhèin a leigeas leinn a bhith mar an dreach as fheàrr dhinn fhìn. Le bhith a’ leantainn dà shlighe eadar-dhealaichte, leig mo phiuthar agus mise leinn fhìn tilleadh còmhla, nas làidire agus nas toilichte.

Growing up is hard enough but when paired with a high-achieving older sibling it can lead to a lot of self doubt and misplaced anger. This animation explores my own journey of realising that no two people are the same no matter how hard you may try to emulate them, and that nurturing our own individual strengths is what allows us to be the best version of ourselves. By following two different paths, my sister and I let ourselves come back together, stronger and happier.
