Jools with music for Saturday lunchtime

Jools is joined by the author and historian John Goodall.

Jools shares his lifelong passion for classical music and the beautiful connections with jazz and blues. With fascinating guests each week, who bring their own favourite music and occasionally perform live in Jools's studio.

Today, Jools's choices include music by Sibelius, Johnny Hodges and Augusta Holmes, with performances by Ginette Neveu, Edith Piaf and Martin Fröst. His guest is the author, historian and Architectural Editor of Country Life magazine John Goodall, who introduces a castle-inspired selection of music by John Dowland, Thomas Ravenscroft, JS Bach and Arthur Sullivan.
