The Albanian Connection
The team try to make one interception across borders, immediately followed by another only minutes away from their Glasgow hub. As Harleen hits the road, can she talk the victim out of it?
With ethical hacker Jim Browning joining Rav and Nick in the hub, the team watch closely a scam group operating out of Albania. They claim to be able to help recover lost cryptocurrency investments, but in reality they are just saying that as an excuse to steal more money from their victims.
The team catch the call of a man in the Netherlands being tempted by the scam group’s offer, resulting in a tense back-and-forth as they try to persuade him not to go ahead with what the scammer is offering. But these scammers are relentless, and soon afterwards they are targeting someone much closer to home, so close in fact to the Glasgow scam hub that the team decide to hit the road themselves.
