30 minutes of classical inspiration

Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music from your favourite composers such as Ravel, Debussy and Evelyn Glennie.

Tonight's Classical Mixtape starts in the clouds with Debussy's Nuages from his Nocturnes for orchestra. Ravel drifts us towards Mendelssohn's Andante in E major for string quartet through his thoughtful Prelude in A minor for piano. We drift with Eric Coates By the Sleepy Lagoon before moving into the quiet reflection of Evelyn Glennie's piece for percussion - A Little Prayer. And tonight's Classical Mixtape finishes with the spellbinding Mystery (Rosary) Sonata No. 1 in D minor, The Annunciation, for violin and continuo.
