Cannes Film Festival 2025

Tom Brook and the team are in France as Talking Movies reports from the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, widely regarded as the world's most prestigious movie gathering, a magnet for top international stars and film-makers. Among the show’s highlights are interviews with a new generation of British film-makers who have made their mark in Cannes this year. The programme also hears from acclaimed American director Richard Linklater, who has brought his film New Wave to Cannes, which chronicles the making of the iconic 1960 French film classic Breathless, directed by Jean-Luc Godard. Talking Movies also revisits two other great French film classics whilst in Cannes: Mon Oncle and Amélie.
