In the final episode of the series, historian Simon Sebag Montefiore discovers that with the influx of immigrants from around the Empire, Vienna blossomed and became a centre of creativity. Its crowning achievement, was the art and architecture of the so-called Secession movement led by artists like Klimt and Schiele. But, the threats of Stalin and Hitler were never far away.
