Global energy prices are surging around the world. From heating or cooling our homes, to cooking our food, and making the products we buy energy is at the heart everything we do and when prices rise we all pay for it. So what's behind the cost increase? How long will it last? And what's being done to help bring it under control?

Aaron Heslehurst discusses all of that with the top box of energy supplier Octopus, which operates in 11 countries and has 15 million customers, as well as Dr Fatih Birol, the executive director of the International Energy Agency.
