Israel has a clearly defined list of enemies in the Middle East. Though Iran with its nuclear ambitions occupies the top spot, the list also includes Syria, Hizbullah and Hamas. But while the Israeli Government engages in a protracted war of words with Tehran it is also engaged in high level dialogue with Syria. Stephen Sackur asks Dan Gillerman, Israeli Ambassador to the UN, to explain the logic of his country's diplomatic strategy.
