The Rocky Horror Show20 - 25 March Oxford New Theatre |

| TV presenter Michael Aspel is the first guest Narrator, starring alongside Olivier Award-winning West End and Broadway star David Bedella and former Hear’Say singer Suzanne Shaw in a brand spanking new production of the cult rock n’roll musical, which returns to Richard O' Brien’s classic original script. The production is directed by Christopher Luscombe.
The Rocky Horror Show follows squeaky-clean sweethearts Brad and Janet on an adventure they'll never forget, with the scandalous Frank N Furter, rippling Rocky and vivacious Magenta. Bursting at the seams with timeless classics, including ‘Sweet Transvestite’, ‘Damn It Janet’ and, of course, the pelvic-thrusting ‘Time Warp’, Richard O’Brien’s’ The Rocky Horror Show’ just can’t stop partying!
A night of fun, frolics and frivolity is in store, so fish out the fishnets, buff up your basque and sharpen those stilettos for a rocky ride.
Michael Aspel (narrator) succeeded Eamonn Andrews as presenter of ‘This Is Your Life’ in 1988. Michael is currently hosting the hugely popular ‘Antiques Roadshow’ for the BBC. On stage he has appeared in ‘Private Lives’ and has co-starred in a run of ‘Say Who You Are’ and has narrated ‘Side By Side by Sondheim’. Michael has received many awards over the years, including the OBE in 1993 for services to broadcasting and in 1996 was voted into the Royal Television Society Hall of Fame for outstanding services to TV. | | The cast in rehearsals |
David Bedella (Frank N Furter) created the role of Satan/Warm-Up Man in ‘Jerry Springer - The Opera’ for which he won the 2004 Best Actor Laurence Olivier Award. David recently starred in ‘Holby City’ as surgeon Carlos Fashola.
Suzanne Shaw (Janet) hit stardom as part of the pop group Hear’Say, winners of ITV’s ‘Popstars’ competition. She made her stage debut at 10 playing the title role in the musical ‘Annie’ at the Liverpool Empire. More recently she starred in the West End in ‘Summer Holiday’ and as the narrator in ‘Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat’.
