He was a factory worker in Salford, and now he’s a massively successful opera star who has sang to presidents, prime ministers, the Pope and royalty the world over.

Russell can now add Champion of ‘Just the Two of Us’ to his list of achievements, as recently he and his singing partner (the actress Sian Reeves) emerged victorious on the popular show.

Despite many obstacles along the way (the departing original singer Rick Astley, and indifference from some of the judges) Russell and Sian emerged as the public’s favourites.
