It was a tough day for West Ham and their fans on Sunday as the Premier League wrapped up.

Despite a 3-0 win against Leeds, West Ham were relegated.

The result wasn't enough to keep them in the league, as a win for Tottenham meant Spurs had enough points to stay up.

Relegation means West Ham will play Championship football for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

West Ham shared a statement following the match, saying:

"The confirmation of our relegation from the Premier League today marks a sad and painful moment for West Ham United."

"As we have done before, we will fight with everything we have to return to the top division of English football at the first time of asking."

"The hard work to make that goal a reality begins immediately."

At the other end of the table, Arsenal celebrated winning the Premier League lifting the trophy following their match against Crystal Palace.
