Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira and K-pop megastar boy band BTS will headline the first ever half-time show at this summer's Fifa World Cup final.

The tournament, which is co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, ends with the final in New Jersey on 19 July.

The show, curated by British rock band Coldplay will be a Super Bowl-style performance, promising plenty of hip shaking, foot-tapping fun.

Burna Boy, characters from Sesame Street and the muppets, conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 school Chorus featuring Coldplay are also set to appear during the 11-minute set.

Justin Bieber, who was announced as a co-headliner on Wednesday is a Canadian pop singer who has had eight UK singles.

He was the first artist to have three hits occupy the top three spots of the chart.

"The Fifa World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said.
