Man climbs Belfast Wheel

The fire service says it may have averted a tragedy by rescuing a man who climbed on top of the 60m Belfast Wheel and perched himself there for several hours.

Large crowds gathered to watch as the dramatic scenes unfolded outside the City Hall last night.

A 38-year-old man has been charged with disorderly behaviour.
