His heartbroken father has spoken of his family's grief. Lance Corporal Nigel Moffett, of the Light Dragoons, was killed in an explosion in Helmand Province on Saturday. He died alongside Corporal Stephen Bolger, of the Parachute Regiment. The 28-year-old was the eldest son in a family of eight and was originally from the Holywood Road area of east Belfast. ![]() Nigel Moffett Senior In an emotional interview, his father, Nigel Senior, paid tribute to him, describing him as a "noble soul who died doing his duty."
