Adam Carroll visits the BBC Newsline studio

A1 GP star and race car

The County Down racing driver who is on the brink of becoming a world champion parks his car in the BBC Newsline studio.

Adam Carroll is currently only two points off the lead in the A1 GP World Cup of Motorsport.

The 24 year old from Portadown started racing karts at the age of nine.

Now, he is the star of A1 Team Ireland, and is challenging for the top spot in a competition which boasts that human bravery and pure driving skill are more essential than any financial or technological advantage.
