A man has died in hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Dorset on Friday evening.
The 69-year-old man was found in the road at the junction of Heath Avenue and Darby's Lane in a residential area of Poole at about 19:30 GMT.
He had life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poole Hospital but later died.
Dorset Police said its traffic unit was investigating the incident and is appealing for witnesses.
