    A football fan has been banned from going to games after trouble at a pre-season friendly between Grimsby Town and Sheffield United in July.

    Perry Keith Smith, 30, from Sheffield, pleaded guilty to assault at an earlier hearing at Grimsby Magistrates' Court.

    Boston Borough and West Lindsey Councils have voted in favour of devolution. 

    They're the latest authorities in Greater Lincolnshire to decide they want an elected mayor and increased powers from Westminster.

    A vote is expected to take place among members of East Lindsey Council tomorrow. 

    The last council to vote will be South Holland on 26 October.

  8. Reds on tour: India latest stoppublished at 16:30 BST 11 October 2016

    The Red Arrows have landed in Varanasi as part of their tour of the Far East. 

    They've already taken in Pakistan and they're due in Bangladesh later.

  10. Man, 78, dies after road crashpublished at 15:11 BST 11 October 2016

    A man has died after a collision at Leasingham on 9 September.

    The crash involved a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Focus at the junction with the B1209 Moor Lane and the A153. 

    A 78-year-old man who was a passenger in the Fiesta died in hospital on Sunday.

    Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision who have not contacted the police to call on 01522 558855.

  12. Man posed as teenage girl to trick boys on Facebookpublished at 14:48 BST 11 October 2016

    A man from Lincoln who posed as a teenage girl to trick boys on Facebook into sending him indecent images has been warned he faces a custodial sentence. 

    Darren Sanby, 21. from St Peter's Avenue admitted 17 charges at Lincoln Crown Court today. 

    The judge has adjourned sentencing until Friday. 

  13. Council set to cast net wider on resident parkingpublished at 14:27 BST 11 October 2016

    Hundreds more people could have to pay to park outside their own homes in Lincoln if a plan to extend a residents' permit scheme is approved.

    The City of Lincoln Council wants to add more than 1,000 homes to resident's parking schemes.

    Taxi drivers in Grimsby say they've had their windows smashed and paint work chipped by teenagers throwing stones at them. 

    Police have had a number of reports of anti social behaviour by youths in the Freeman Street area and are now trying to identify those involved. 

    Drivers' representatives say cabbies don't want to go to that area of Grimsby because of what's happening.

    The jury in the trial of a teenager accused of murdering Spalding dinner lady Elizabeth Edwards and her daughter Katie have heard details the girl gave in a police interview after she was arrested. 

    Nottingham Crown Court heard how she told officers her co-accused - a boy who was 14 at the time - had stabbed Ms Edwards in the neck and smothered her.

    She said the boy then went into Katie's room and stabbed her. The teenage girl has denied murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility but admitted manslaughter. 

    The boy has already admitted the murder of both Elizabeth and Katie Edwards. The trial at Nottingham Crown Court continues.
