Brother and sister enjoy personal supercar parade

People travelled from miles around to watch the parade in Bury

Hundreds of vehicles have taken part in a supercar and motorbike parade in honour of a "machine-mad" brother and his sister who is recovering from treatment for a rare blood disorder.

The parents of Ozzy, five, and Isla, two, organised the event in Bury, Greater Manchester.

It comes after a similar parade in September held for Ozzy's birthday, which Isla had to miss because she was having a stem cell transplant.

Now, after spending months in hospital, Isla is back home recovering and Ozzy said the pair had a great time seeing cars including Lamborghinis, McLarens and a hummer he described as a "monster truck" - and he even "got to rev them".

Hundreds of people also lined the streets to watch Sunday's procession, which also raised money for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

Ozzy's mother Lauren said it was "unbelievable" how many people got involved and turned out to watch, with people from as far aaway as Newcastle coming along.

"It was amazing. What a day," she said.

"It was so nice to soak in the atmosphere and be part of it. It was really sweet."

Ozzy told BBC Radio Manchester he was so delighted he thought it was his birthday again.

However, he still received a Toy Story-themed cake and "a lot of chocolate".

He said he had "the best time" and would like to do it another time soon.
