For almost 25 years, you've welcomed CBeebies into your home.

Whether you've watched with your child every day, turned to us for a favourite programme at bedtime, or simply trusted us to provide a safe and positive experience, we're incredibly grateful for that trust.

We never take it for granted.

As the world around children continues to change, we believe it's important to be clearer than ever about the values, standards and principles that guide everything we offer.

That's why today we're setting out the CBeebies Parenting Promise: our commitment to supporting you as you help your child learn through play.

Your child comes first. We are committed to creating inspiring experiences that spark creativity, curiosity and imagination in every child.

Everything we offer is developed with care, purpose and the highest editorial standards, so you can feel confident in the content your family enjoys. We want every child to feel welcome, included and able to see themselves reflected in what they watch, hear and experience.

And because parenting doesn't come with a manual, we're here to support you too, with trusted guidance, expert advice and practical help whenever you need it.

When your child watches a programme on CBeebies, they're seeing the end result of a huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes. Every story, song, game and character is shaped by programme makers, educators, child development specialists and audience experts who care deeply about creating content that is right for young children.

Those principles have always guided what we do. The Parenting Promise simply makes them visible.

You'll see that commitment reflected across everything CBeebies offers. It's there in the stories we tell, the characters your child loves and the experiences we design to encourage learning through play.

You'll also see it in the ways we're expanding support for families beyond our programmes.

Many of you are already discovering CBeebies Parenting, where we're sharing expert-led advice, practical tips and play-based ideas designed to help you navigate everyday family life.

And you'll see those same values reflected in the return of Play School for a new generation. For many parents, it's a programme they'll remember from their own childhood. At its heart was a simple idea: helping children explore the world through stories, songs, games and imaginative play.

As part of the new commission, we'll also be creating dedicated content for parents and carers, offering ideas and encouragement to help bring that learning and play into everyday life at home.

Because learning through play doesn't start and end with a television programme.

Some of the most important moments happen afterwards. When your child asks a question. When they act out a story. When they sing a song for the hundredth time. When they discover something new and want to share it with you.

Our role isn't just to inspire those moments. It's to help you make the most of them too.

Everything in the CBeebies Parenting Promise comes back to one belief: children thrive when the adults around them feel supported and confident.

When families feel supported, children have the best chance to flourish.

That's the promise that sits behind every programme we offer, every story we tell and every experience we create.

And it's the promise we'll continue to make to you.
