Michelle Hussey (gig: 15/01/07) With momentary nods to Pink Floyd and Doves, The Window Right pushed along a vocal-less journey compromising of all kinds of surprising elements.
The Window Right
With leading bass lines and soft guitar dipping in and out of dreamlike tones to sharper melody driven riffs, this sometimes haphazard, sometimes too perfect for words set was an absolute pleasure to listen to.
There was the occasional feeling of intruding on a practice session, possibly due to how relaxed the trio seem on stage, but no sooner are you lulled into that than they throw something at you to get you completely engaged and engrossed. It’s the reason why TWR have huge potential to become complete masters of their art.
They’re close enough already and the beauty of it is you can tell they just want to keep experimenting. Divided between Manchester and Leeds, The Window Right are sometimes are little difficult to catch, but it’s worth the effort to let them into your life.
