Caitlin, from Brixworth in Northamptonshire, is competing in the 4x200 metre and 4x100 metre freestyle relays and the 200 and 100 metres freestyle.

It is the 22-year-old student's second games. In Athens she was in 4x200 metres freestyle relay.

Caitlin said her sporting family had been a great support in the run-up to the Beijing games.

"They haven't tried to pressure me or force me into it and they know how I'm feeling, so it's good they were involved in sport as well.

"My hopes are just to go in and swim my best ... personal bests in every event I do.

"My ultimate goal in life is to win an Olympic medal - whether it's here (in Bejing) or in hopefully in London in 2012.

"Here I'm just going to do my best and if I come away with a medal, that's a bonus."
